Supported by A + rated capacity and led by one of the most respected and experienced practitioners in the market, Aesir Space specialises in all forms of space insurance from initial testing, manufacture and transit, to launch, de-orbiting and decommissioning.

Working closely with brokers and insureds to develop full-spectrum integrated coverage or risk-specific policies, we are uniquely positioned to build solutions based on a technical understanding of each exposure across the lifespan of the application.

That insight also enables us to look beyond the standard cover to encompass the sector’s continually evolving risk remit as new technologies are introduced, vehicles are developed and the NewSpace arena expands.

Years of discussions with operators, manufacturers and investors in space ventures confirms that insurance, when used properly, can be a powerful enabler.

Aesir understands that clients want to protect their business plans and not merely insure their assets. Using insurance as an enabler to deliver that protection in turn enables them to obtain finance and grow their venture. This means providing coverages tailored to each client’s needs and having a full understanding of the environment they operate in.

Aesir recognises the importance of this aspect of risk management and actively seeks to challenge dogmatic traditions and propose innovative solutions to meet the challenges faced by the industry.

Our broad coverage remit spans:

  • Launch Vehicle Flight Only (LVFO)
  • In-Orbit (IO)
  • Pre-launch and assembly, integration and testing (AIT)
  • Launch and in-orbit operators’ liability
  • Associated covers as outlined under Lines of Business

Our sector-specific knowledge means we can deliver a quick response on all space submissions. Our underwriting is supported by an advanced data-rich, highly efficient, technology platform that connects every component of the workflow, supporting enhanced decision making and enabling rapid policy production.
