Launch Vehicle Flight

Brand Logo

The number of orbital launches continues to increase in response to increasing data demands. Investment in smallsat development rockets and the global launcher fleet expands to encompass new launch vehicles and payloads and the demand for Launch Vehicle Flight Only (LVFO) insurance grows in tandem.

Nevertheless, launch failures keep occurring and their effect can be devastating to start-ups and established operators alike.

Aesir Space provides comprehensive LVFO to insureds for damage to satellites which occur after intentional ignition of the launch vehicle and up to the point where they separate from the launcher.

Our data-driven underwriting approach means that every LVFO policy is built on high-resolution industry data and built to the specific requirements of the particular vehicle type of satellite. Further, our risk assessment capabilities are based on the latest launch failure statistics.

We provide LVFO cover as a stand-alone cover or as part of a Combined Flight (CF) programme with In-Orbit (IO) insurance.
