Volante Global’s transaction liability business Volante Transaction Services (VTS) is delighted to be entering the global transaction liability insurance market with strong, locally based teams of long-established and respected professionals.
The VTS teams are based around three regions APAC, UK & Europe and North America with APAC and UK & Europe launching in Q4 2022 and North America launching in Q1 2023.
APAC
The APAC team will be led by Steven Harwood (Managing Director – Volante Transaction Services – APAC). Steve brings 24 years’ of relevant experience having previously heading up Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance’s successful Asia Middle East transactional liability team from Hong Kong. Steven will be based in Tokyo.
In addition, the APAC team is strengthened by Shaun Reynolds (Regional Managing Director – ANZ) who brings over 15 years’ M&A experience. For the last six and a half years Shaun has worked as a senior underwriter for AIG’s Asia Pacific M&A insurance team where he underwrote risks across ANZ and Asia. Shaun will be based in Sydney.
Further underwriters joining the VTS team in APAC will be announced imminently including its Singapore based offering.
UK & Europe
The UK & Europe team is led by Richard Britain (Managing Director – Volante Transaction Services – UK & Europe). Richard has over 30 years of M&A experience and has previously been the head of transactional risk at Chubb Overseas General. Richard will be based in London.
In addition, the UK & Europe will have underwriting hubs in Barcelona, Milan and Warsaw with further underwriter announcements to follow but the team will immediately benefit from Marco Leon (Country Manager (Spain) – Volante Transaction Services – UK & Europe) formerly of ANV who will focus on the Iberian market and Cristobal Silva (Underwriter – Volante Transaction Services – UK & Europe) a Chilean qualified M&A lawyer.
Further details of the VTS team will be announced shortly including an introduction to the North American team.
The VTS team are a group of high-profile and long-established professionals in the M&A and transactional liability insurance market and will represent much welcome underwriting expertise and additional capacity being backed by Volante Global’s Syndicate 1699 at Lloyd’s.
