• Offering conventional and non-conventional cover built on ‘AA+’ rated capacity
  • Claims handling and risk control services ensure a full-spectrum client solution

Edison Motor is a London Market-based syndicate 1699 providing full-service insurance coverage, claims management and risk control support across multiple specialist sectors of the UK commercial motor insurance sector.

Offering conventional and non-conventional cover built on ‘AA+’ rated capacity, our high-performance insurance solutions are developed by some of the most experienced underwriters in the UK motor market.

In addition to providing comprehensive, third-party fire and theft, or third-party only cover, our market-wide expertise extends our coverage scope well beyond standard risks to meet the complex challenges that many companies face in today’s motor marketplace.

We operate a robust pricing model for both conventional and non-conventional risks, and without the restraints of cumbersome legacy systems, which guarantees a speedy response from initial quotes through to certificate issuance. In addition, comprehensive claims handling and risk control capabilities ensure we provide full-spectrum client solutions.

Working across various distribution sectors, we deliver the underwriting flexibility and service capabilities to develop solutions built to the precise parameters of each risk, engaging directly with brokers and clients to guarantee each policy is fit for purpose.

Risk control support is central to Edison Motor’s full-service insurance coverage. Our risk control support capabilities span the UK commercial motor sector with specialised knowledge for emergency services, public sector and haulage fleets.

We apply research and evidence-based methods to achieve effective driver and vehicle risk control solutions. We ensure we have a clear understanding of our clients’ operating challenges both in terms of financial considerations and the practical aspects of implementing measures to enhance existing risk control activities.

Over 95% of road collisions are due to driver behaviour and human factors. Edison’s in house consultant applies a recognised approach that is proven to be considerably more successful in achieving sustained influence on safety performance and claims reduction than costly traditional interventions that are reliant upon driver psychomotor skills training and online hazard perception.

Our risk control and claims reduction support capabilities span multiple aspects of driver performance, with solutions created to align with the specific fleet operating profile of each client. Our services include:

  • Review of client risk control activities
  • Behaviour-based education support
  • Telematics data – driver feedback coaching
  • Psychometric assessment
  • Ongoing support and guidance

Our specialists are available to provide driver risk control advice and support to fleet operators of all classes in the UK, including Police and Fire services, public sector, truck and van. They are specifically qualified in driver safety behaviour and education as well as the practical aspects of designing and implementing bespoke safety improvement interventions.

Our collaborative approach ensures we work closely with the client, broker, underwriter and our claims service – Davies Motor, to deliver an intelligence-led risk control support service.
