Roshni is an experienced underwriter with over 13 years in the (re)insurance market. Prior to joining Volante, Roshni was Head of International Casualty Treaty at SiriusPoint Ltd. with group-wide responsibility of all international casualty business underwritten. Upon joining SiriusPoint Ltd. she established the international casualty product as a new offering via both their company and syndicate platforms. Roshni has also held a senior casualty treaty underwriting role at Everest Re, underwriting casualty and specialty classes via Everest Re’s London office. Roshni’s (re)insurance career began in the actuarial team at Everest Re where her role included pricing, reserving and exposure management.

Geoff is a highly experienced claims manager. Over the last 30 years, he has worked across the insurance, reinsurance and loss adjusting sectors in senior claims roles.

Matthew joined Aesir in Early 2024 from the Civil Aviation Authority. Prior to joining his career spanned weapons system engineering and space regulation after graduating with a Master of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering.
As weapons engineer for 5 years his work focused predominantly on test and evaluation of weapons and energetic systems as part of safety and suitability for service assessments. This included work in support of qualification of new systems through to surveillance and life extension activities.
From 2022 Matt worked in the space engineering team at the UK Civil Aviation Authority as part of the space regulation team working in support of space licensing in the UK. He was involved with licensing of new launch systems and sites as well as satellites.
As an assistant underwriter Matthew looks to build on his experience in risk assessment to support Aesir Space’s diversified and structured underwriting approach.

Prior to Volante she led the North America Property, MGA and the International Business teams at SwissRe. Sonam has extensive expertise in P&C Insurance Underwriting and has worked across geographies with experience of handling global clients. She managed teams, overseeing policy processing, and implementing continuous improvements using Lean Six Sigma. Her accomplishments include setting up an EMEA risk modeling pricing team, achieving the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and receiving awards for excellence in training and process improvements. Kamlesh started his career as a property underwriter for 3 years, before moving to liability underwriting. Prior to joining Volante, he served as the Deputy Vice President for the Financial Lines at Tata AIG. He has also worked at Bajaj Allianz, Raheja QBE, and Reliance General Insurance in India.
With over 17 years of experience, he has extensive knowledge of underwriting a variety of product lines in the liability space, ranging from Management Liability (D&O, POSI), Cyber Insurance, Professional Liability (Tech PI / E&O, Construction Project PI), Kidnap and Ransom, Financial Institution (PE/VC, MFAP), and Casualty Lines (CGL, Product liability with Recall, Clinical trial).
Among his professional credentials are a Diploma from the Chartered Institute of UK, a Fellowship from the Insurance Institute of India and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from National Insurance Academy, Pune with specialisation in General Insurance and Marketing.

Pierre-Samuel is a French qualified lawyer and joined Volante in 2023 as a Senior Underwriter. Prior to Volante, Pierre-Samuel worked as an M&A and Tax underwriter at Transact Risk Partners for 4 years where he developed robust and transversal underwriting skills, both in respect of M&A insurance and tax insurance products. He also gained experience in the tax departments of major law firms in Paris (such as CMS and Linklaters) where he came across various tax matters in relation to private equity operations and corporate reorganizations. He holds a master’s degree in business law as well as a master’s degree in tax law (both from Sorbonne University). In addition, he graduated with an MBA from the University of Amsterdam where he acquired specific business skills notably in corporate finance, accounting, and corporate strategy.

Gundeep joins Volante as our VSR and VGL Underwriting Manager. He graduated from California State University of Fresno with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology following which he became the youngest Deputy to be promoted to a contracted solo town at the Fresno County Police Department. During this time, Gundeep simultaneously founded Chahal Freightway, a trucking company with projected annual revenues of over USD 3m.
Gundeep is based in Fresno, California, establishing VSR’s office on the west coast and his role will span responsibilities across VSR, VIL and VGL.

Mudassar has more than 15 years of experience in the Reinsurance Treaty Sector. His experience comprises of working at AON Pakistan as Manager Reinsurance from 2007 till 2014, which included official deputation to the offices of AON Singapore, AON London, and a week’s secondment in Lloyd’s of London.
The treaty reinsurance underwriting experience actually began when he joined Saudi Re and served there for 7 years as a Senior Underwriter till 2021, looking after a huge non-life treaty portfolio originating from 20 countries in Asian, GCC and Turkish regions.
Before joining Volante (DIFC) Ltd. he served in ACE Gallagher Bahrain as a Unit Head Technical – Treaty for almost a year and carried out various analytical and underwriting exercises for the clients.

Massimiliano is the Head of Italy and is based in Milan, where he focuses on the Italian transactional risk insurance market. Prior to joining Volante Global, he worked at AIG, focusing on Warranty & Indemnity and Contingent Risk insurance policies in Italy and across South Europe. During his experience at AIG, he was also seconded to the DACH team in the Frankfurt am Main office, where he worked on risks located in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Prior to that, Massimiliano worked as Italian qualified lawyer for Italian and international law firms in Milan, assisting clients on both domestic and cross-border M&A transactions (including mergers, demergers, asset deals and share deals), drafting and negotiating business contracts and providing ongoing assistance in corporate and commercial matters. Massimiliano is fluent in Italian, English and German.

He has over 20 years’ experience in the London Insurance and Reinsurance Market, spanning both underwriting and operations functions. Working across all lines of business and territories, Chris introduced a number of new processes and embedded these within the company. Martin is a recognised transaction liability insurance sector expert with substantial M&A insurance experience having undertaken transactions across the globe and having created and led M&A underwriting teams for both boutique and global insurance institutions. Martin brings significant commercial experience to the role of Global Head having been an executive director and sat on the board of companies across North America, Europe, UK and Asia Pacific. Martin is an England and Wales law qualified solicitor who has practised law in Europe and Asia Pacific across both international and domestic markets. As a lawyer, Martin specialised in corporate M&A law and focused on international transactional private equity work. He was previously Vice President of an emerging markets private equity firm, where he specialised in the purchase and turnaround of composite insurance companies achieving successful exits in Nigeria, Rwanda and Pakistan.
Hussein began his insurance career at Zurich Insurance Company in London as a multiline captive underwriter prior to moving to the finance function where he was responsible for setting and heading up the FP&A team. Subsequently, he was appointed as the Global Claims Controller in the group claims function in Switzerland responsible for claims performance management across 40 countries.
Hussein specialises in performance and operational enhancement, business strategy, financial reporting and analytics. He holds a master’s degree in aerospace engineering and is a qualified CIMA accountant.

He was previously a Vice President at Greenoaks Global Holdings, a private equity firm focused on emerging markets, where he was responsible for the insurance operations of their portfolio of companies. Ricky was also a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. In addition, he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Prime Insurance Rwanda. During his career, he also worked at Morgan Stanley, focusing on insurance and FinTech within their Investment Banking Division. Prior to this, he spent over 5 years as an underwriter in the Financial Institutions Group at AIG.

Stuart is a risk engineer at Edison Motor. He is one of the most experienced risk specialists in the UK motor market, having worked in law enforcement and commercial fleet risk management and fleet driver education for over 35 years.
Stuart specialises in designing and delivering human factors and behaviour-focussed solutions that influence driver performance. He led the fleet risk management support response to Glasgow City Council following the major refuse truck incident in December 2014 and continued to work with them for a number of years after. He has also provided direct support and consultancy into several UK Police services.
He is qualified to Masters’ degree level in driving behaviour and education, is a Graduate member of IOSH and holds a level 6 Diploma in occupational safety and health from NEBOSH. In addition, he holds a number of vocational qualifications, RoSPA advanced driving examiner and DVSA Licensed trainer.
