Khalil has held several executive management positions in the insurance and reinsurance sector for over 25 years. He brings an in-depth understanding of the region, client management, distribution, business planning, underwriting, portfolio management, risk management, regulations, compliance, and go-to market strategy building successful portfolios and teams across multiple lines.
He joined Volante in 2021 to launch Volante (DIFC) Ltd as the Managing Director, board member and senior executive officer responsible for the overall business.
Before Volante, he was the General Manager and Senior Executive Officer of QBE Insurance Middle East since its start in 2009 and until May 2020 based in the DIFC and covering the Middle East, Africa and Turkey region. Previously he held leadership roles at the Dubai International Financial Center ‘DIFC – Authority’ as Director of Insurance & Reinsurance and AXA Gulf as Country Manager of the UAE and member of AXA Gulf management team. He was also a board member of the Emirates Insurance Association in 2005 – 2006.

Arnen held leadership and senior underwriting positions in the insurance and reinsurance sector over the past 25+ years. He brings an in-depth understanding of the general insurance and reinsurance market-leading underwriting teams, Casualty line of business and regional offices of insurers and reinsurers in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey.
He joined Volante in 2021 as Head of Casualty and a member of the senior management team of Volante (DIFC) Ltd.
Before Volante, Arnen had several Casualty roles between 2003 and 2021 at the AIG MEASA region. He was the Casualty Profit Centre Manager between 2012 and 2020 and the Head of Liability Product line manager (Energy and Construction casualty) in 2020 and 2021.

Kyra has held leadership and senior roles in Casualty Broking since 2009. During her career as a Casualty Broker, she was underwriting on behalf of Lloyds and Company markets building a successful Liability Portfolio. She brings an in-depth understanding of the insurance and reinsurance market-leading Casualty Portfolio in the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey. She joined Volante in July 2022 as Head of Casualty and a member of the senior management team of Volante (DIFC) Ltd.

Manik held leadership and senior underwriting positions in the insurance and reinsurance sector over the past 15 years. He brings an in-depth understanding of the general insurance and reinsurance market-leading global underwriting teams, speciality lines of business and regional offices of reinsurers in Asia & the Middle East.
He joined Volante in 2021 as Director of Marine and a member of the senior management team of Volante (DIFC) Ltd.
Before Volante, he was Practice Leader in the Speciality Lines team at Willis in Dubai in 2020 and 2021. Before that, he held leadership and underwriting roles at Qatar Re as the SEO of Qatar Re DIFC, CEO Singapore, Global Head of Marine between 2016 and 2020. He was also the Marine Underwriting Manager at Zurich Insurance Middle East between 2012 and 2016, and he held underwriting roles at Royal and Sun Alliance UAE from 2006 to 2012.
He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK and has a Masters in Commerce.

Nazih held leadership and senior underwriting positions in the insurance and reinsurance sector over the past 35+ years. He brings an in-depth understanding of the general insurance and reinsurance market-leading underwriting teams, property line of business and regional offices of insurers and reinsurers in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey.
He joined Volante in 2021 as Director of Property and a member of the senior management team of Volante (DIFC) Ltd.
Before Volante, he was VP of Property, Casualty and Marine lines of business at Fidelity Insurance from 2018 to 2021. From 2017 to 2018 he was the SR VP head of Property at Oman Insurance. He also held senior underwriting roles at AIG MEA Limited for more than ten years between 2007 and 2017, where he managed the Property, Energy, and Engineering. He held senior management and underwriting roles at Bankers, Libano Suisse, and CIGNA.

Rainer has over 20 years of experience in Re/Insurance with most of it spent in the field of energy insurance. His expertise ranges from underwriting facultative and treaty risks to broking and managing underwriting operations. Prior to joining Volante, he worked with several large multinational companies such as Marsh, JLT and Swiss Re in across various locations in Europe and Asia. Rainer also worked for almost 10 years in the Oil and Gas industry as a Geophysicist prior to joining the finance industry.

Tariq has 29 years of Insurance industry experience covering India, Middle East, and North African markets. Prior to joining Volante, he worked as the Chief Technical Officer of Alsagr Insurance Company in Saudi Arabia. Tariq has also held various senior underwriting/managerial positions in Swiss Re, AIG and RSA handling Engineering, Construction, Onshore Energy, Power & Utility, and Property insurance business. Tariq is a Mechanical Engineer with an MBA degree from Manchester Business School, UK.

Valerian is a seasoned professional with over 14 years of experience in Marine Underwriting and Operations. His diverse career spans across multiple facets of the insurance industry, including a 6-year tenure in underwriting roles at two of UAE’s leading insurance companies, Sukoon Insurance (formerly Oman Insurance Company) and Qatar Insurance Company Dubai.
Valerian’s expertise also extends to the reinsurance sector, where he spent two years at Munich Re Syndicate Middle East Limited, further honing his skills and knowledge. Prior to joining Volante, Val held a pivotal role at Qatar Insurance Company, Dubai, where he was entrusted with managing the Hull and Marine Liabilities portfolio.

Mudassar has more than 15 years of experience in the Reinsurance Treaty Sector. His experience comprises of working at AON Pakistan as Manager Reinsurance from 2007 till 2014, which included official deputation to the offices of AON Singapore, AON London, and a week’s secondment in Lloyd’s of London.
The treaty reinsurance underwriting experience actually began when he joined Saudi Re and served there for 7 years as a Senior Underwriter till 2021, looking after a huge non-life treaty portfolio originating from 20 countries in Asian, GCC and Turkish regions.
Before joining Volante (DIFC) Ltd. he served in ACE Gallagher Bahrain as a Unit Head Technical – Treaty for almost a year and carried out various analytical and underwriting exercises for the clients.

Athar has 8 years of experience in the management of Insurance operations, extensive knowledge in business process management, service delivery, and significant experience in insurance operations across several functions with competence in all aspects of operations. Joy is an ACCA certified member with over 10 years of experience as a finance professional. He has extensive knowledge in tax preparation, financial analysis, and audit compliance and is experienced in financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow management. He has worked with DIFC regulated entities as a DFSA approved finance officer with a with a detailed understanding of the DFSA regulatory framework. He joined Volante in April 2023 as the Finance Controller.
