Andrew has over 30 years of experience in the financial and professional lines sector across both underwriting and broking. Prior to joining Volante, Andrew was Divisional Head – Financial & Professional Lines at Barbican Managing Agency Ltd (Syndicate 1955). He has also held senior roles at Marsh FINPRO and BMS Bermuda, and was previously a Chair of the Lloyd’s Market Association’s (LMA) FI panel.

Charlotte works directly with the Volante F&PL team in her capacity as Assistant Underwriter.
She joined Volante from Barbican Insurance Group where she was an Underwriting Assistant, primarily focusing on FI, but also working across the broader Financial Lines portfolio, including Commercial D&O, Commercial PI and Cyber.
Charlotte is Cert CII qualified.

David Mercer is a highly respected professional indemnity practitioner with over 30 years of insurance industry experience spanning both the broking and underwriting arenas.
Most recently, he was a Director of PI at an international MGA, having joined that firm in 2008. Prior to this, David was an Executive Director of the PI team at Lockton and their predecessors Alexander Forbes and Nelson Hurst. He is ACII qualified.

Davood is a highly experienced underwriter with a strong track record for developing diverse, successful books of business.
During his career in the insurance industry he has held a number of senior underwriting positions. Most recently, he was Head of Commercial D&O at Aspen Insurance UK. Prior to this, he spent six years at Starr Underwriting where he progressed to Head of Management Liability. He has also worked at QBE Europe and AIG.

Kristy Mannin is a well-respected professional indemnity practitioner with over 12 years of insurance industry experience spanning both the broking and underwriting arenas.
Most recently, she was an Underwriter at DUAL, having joined that firm in 2014. Prior to this, Kristy was Team Leader of a Commercial Wholesale broking department. She is DIP qualified and currently working towards her ACII. Kristy has also been nominated for two Women In Insurance Awards including Underwriting Professional of the Year.

Steve has over 30 years of experience in the London market, including 25 years specialising in Financial Institutions. Writing business on a worldwide basis, he has gained an incredible insight into the unique coverage requirements of different territories and industry sectors.
Prior to joining Volante Financial and Professional Lines, Steve was Financial Institutions Manager at Antares Underwriting working across a diverse portfolio of business. Previous roles have included Financial Institutions Underwriter at Württembergische Versicherung and Deputy Accident Underwriter Eagle Star Re.
He began his career in the London insurance market in 1986, when he joined Trinity Insurance.

Jamie has extensive underwriting experience in the London D&O market. He has developed portfolios on Lloyd’s and company market platforms and comes with experience across multiple product lines within the management liability space. Prior to joining Volante Financial and Professional Lines, Jamie was a Senior Underwriter at Aspen Insurance UK. He has also held underwriting positions at The Navigators Group and CV Starr.
