Volante Global welcomes Angelos Deftereos , Managing Director of Structured Finance to the Team

Volante Global is proud to announce Angelos Deftereos has joined us as Managing Director – Structured Finance, based in London.

Angelos will be responsible for:

• Portfolio-level credit risk capital optimization transactions for financial institutions – including Significant Risk Transfer (SRT).
• Carbon Offset Credit Insurance.

Angelos brings over 20 years’ experience in investment banking and insurance in London and New York. He joins Volante from AXA XL where his role as Head of Operational Risk Insurance focused on developing innovative risk transfer products, including Operational Risk and Credit Risk capital optimisation solutions, as well as underwriting traditional Financial Lines products for large, complex Financial Institutions.

Before joining AXA XL, Angelos was Head of Operational Risk implementation for Morgan Stanley’s asset management division. Angelos has held senior positions within the financial lines business with Marsh in New York and Aon in London, as well as the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs specialising in the telecommunication and e-commerce industry sectors.
